Imphal, August 19 2015: In protest against the arrest of two persons, who were staging indefinite hunger strike, people today clamped a 12-hour public curfew at Thangmeiband area.

Bandh enforcers carried out a publicity drive to ask shopkeepers to close their shops in the morning.

Most of the lanes and bylanes were blocked using tree branches, boulders and logs.

People also staged demonstration in front of State Legislative Assembly blocking the road.

On the otherhand, people of different localities of Sagolband AC marched to the private residence of MLA RK Imo and submitted a memorandums demanding ILPS implementation to his mother as the MLA was out of station.
