Apou Koklou worshipped for peace in Manipur

Imphal, November 06 2026: As in previous years, followers of the indigenous religion of Manipur on Friday offered prayers to Apou Koklou, the owner of the Gods' court on earth, at Pongringlong (Charoipandongba Part-I) .

Apou Koklou, recognised by the Manipur University of Culture, is worshipped as the supreme deity who oversees the worship of all Gods and guides the indigenous faith, said Apou Koklou Kalummei Phuam in a release.

The ritual was held for peace in Manipur and for the preservation and promotion of the indigenous religion.

Devotees prayed for harmony, well-being and protection of the land.
