Imphal, May 18 2015 : A police commando team rescued a juvenile barking deer today morning.

SI Langpoklakpam Rocky posted at Wangoo CDO unit got the information that a displaced juvenile barking deer was brought by some vegetable collector from Mamang Ching of Kakching Khunou, said a statement.

He immediately rushed to Kakching Khunou Tampak Yum area and rescued the deer.

Noticing the immediate requirement of proper care, he himself rushed to the shelter of PFA Manipur situated at Thoubal Wangmataba carrying along the fawn.

The fawn was handed over to Ak Pream, chairman PFA Manipur before some media representatives.

The deer will be relocated after it attained adulthood, it added.
