Imphal, May 18 2015 :
The Mao Council has called a 24-hour State-wide total bandh from midnight of May 22 to draw the attention of the State Govt to the alleged encroachment by the Southern Angami People's Organisation at Koziirii and Dzuko areas of Senapati district.
In a statement, L Ephriiwo, information and publicity secretary of Mao Council said that it was regrettable that the State Govt is still silent over the matter although it is the duty of the Govt to safeguard the territorial integrity of the State.
Appealing to all concerned to extend cooperation to the bandh, the statement said that essential services will be exempted from the purview of the bandh.
