ISC and ISCE results declared Girls outshine boys all over the country

Girls have once again outshone boys both in class X (ICSE) and class XII (ISC) examinations, results of which were declared on Monday.
The pass percentage in class X Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) examination stood at 98.49 per cent and 96.28 per cent in class XII Indian School Certificate (ISC) examination.
The examinations are conducted by Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) .
At Patkai Christian Academy, Ukhrul district, the only school in Manipur to be affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, out of the 28 candidates who appeared for the ICSE (Class 10) examinations, 23 passed in the first division while 5 passed in the second division.

In the ISC (Class XII) examinations all students passed in the second division, said a hand out issued by the school today.
While girls did marginally better in class X examination with a pass percentage of 98.95 per cent as opposed to 98.12 per cent in case of boys, they did far better than boys in class XII with the difference in pass percentage being over two per cent.
The pass percentage of girls stood at 97.49 per cent as compared to 95.27 per cent in case of boys.
Last year too, the girls had fared better than boys in both class X and class XII .
In the class X examination this year, the top position was shared by three students -Sougata Chowdhury from Kolkata, Ananya Harshad Patwardhan and Tezan Papan Sahu from Mumbai.
They scored 99.20 per cent.
The second position was bagged by three students scoring 99 pc and the third place by 11 students securing 98.80 pc.
