Thoubal, February 08 2026: New Inspector General of Assam Rifles (South) Major General Gaurav Sharma, SC, SM was accorded a warm welcome at a get together ceremony held at Spice Hotel and Resort, Wangjing.

The reception cum get together for pensioners was organised by 10 Assam Regiment and 119 INF Bn TA Pensioners Manipur.

Major General Gaurav Sharma graced the program as the chief guest while Honorary Captain S Bimol Singh and Honorary Lieutenant W Sanahanba Singh were present as functional president and guest of honour.

Addressing the gathering, the IGAR conveyed gratitude at being welcomed by 10 Assam Regiment and 119 INF Bn TA Pensioners Manipur, who were reportedly once his colleagues.

He assured to extend all possible help to the pensioners at any time.
