Thoubal, October 26 2026: A sit-in protest was staged today at Khangabok Lamlong Keithel against the brutal killing of Laishram Rakesh.

The sit-in protest was jointly carried out by LEO Club, Khangabok Lamlong Leikai, Lamlong Bazar and Lamlong Leikai Meira Paibi.

The protestors observed two-minute silence in honour of the departed soul and prayed for the peace of the departed soul.

Slogans demanding justice for Laishram Rakesh were shouted during the protest.

It may be noted that Laishram Rakesh was killed in a violent incident which broke out during a musical event organised by the CYSA Khangabok in connection with a football final match on the night of October 18 .
