Imphal, October 03 2024: A bomb has been reportedly placed at the gate of Thangjam Chandrakumar Meitei, who is line secretary (petroleum product) of All Manipur Road Transport Drivers and Motor Workers' Union, of Salungpham Mayai Leikai under Heirok police station on Thursday.

According to police reports, based on inputs about the bomb spotted around 5 am at the gate, a team of Heirok police secured the area after which it came to light that the object was a HE 36 hand grenade.

The police team removed the grenade by 7 am and filed a case at Heirok police station for investigation.
