Imphal, December 31: Claiming that the MPA cadres have been launching a series of counter offensives against the Indian security forces at Dingpi and Samtal areas after the security personnel launched its offensive, the proscribed UNLF today said that at least 5 personnel were killed when an MPA team attacked the security force near a water hole at Phaisenjang village today at about 5.55 am.

At the same time another MPA team attacked a bunker of the security force and killed two of them, said the outfit in a statement.

On the other hand UNLF has also expressed its deep gratitude to the people for extending their help to the villagers displaced from their homes due to the offensive launched by the security personnel.
