CM vows efforts for fair census

Imphal, March 27 2026: With the houselisting operation scheduled to begin on September 1 in Manipur, Chief Minister Y Khemchand has stated that the State Government will make every effort to ensure the census is conducted in a just and fair manner.

He made the statement during a brief interaction with reporters after the 15th convocation ceremony of Manipur University today.

When asked whether the Government plans to resettle the internally displaced people (IDPs).

before the commencement of the census, Khemchand replied that the Government will do its best.
