Imphal, May 09 2012: Demanding release of fund for construction of 37 primary schools to the concerned agencies under MOBC through DRDA, Ukhrul, the Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS) has warned of launching a series of agitation if the concerned department fails to release the same within this month.

In a statement, general secretary of TKS, M Raihing expressed shock that construction of 37 primary school buildings is delayed in Ukhrul district due to alleged negligence on the part of the Government in releasing the fund.

It urged the concerned department to release the proposed fund so that the building construction is completed in time.

The TKS further urged the department concerned to check teacher's substitution in schools in the hill areas while also cautioning that the students' body would initiate stringent course of action against irregular teachers if the department fails to do so.
