Shumang Leela Day set for April 12, Narendra Ningomba selected for Iboyaima Award

Imphal, April 10 2025: Manipur State Shumang Leela Council has announced that the annual Shumang Leela Day will be celebrated on April 12 .

On the occasion, the prestigious Iboyaima Award will be conferred to renowned Shumang Leela artist Narendra Ningomba.

Sangeet Natak Akademi awardee Sh Hemanta who is also the lifetime general secretary of Manipur State Shumang Leela Council made the declaration during a meeting held at the Council's office today.

He further informed that Lamjingba Artist Association will showcase their play "Panthou Sanggai" on the occasion.
