Memo seeks inquiry into corruption allegations

Imphal, April 05 2025: Sixteen organisations have submitted a memorandum to Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla requesting an immediate investigation into allegations of corruption against the Managing Director of Manipur State Power Company Limited (MSPCL) .

Saying that the allegations represent a grave abuse of power, the memorandum has urged the Governor to initiate a high-level departmental inquiry and suspend the accused official until the investigation is completed to prevent any interference or evidence tampering.
