Sainik School Imphal conducts Passing Out Parade for cadets

The Passing Out Parade (POP) for outgoing Class XII cadets of Sainik School Imphal was held today amidst huge fanfare and Ceremonial splendour.
As per a release issued by Sainik School Imphal, the POP instilled in the cadets military ethos and a sense of responsibility to face the real world after they complete their academic and military biased training in the school.
The event was graced by a large plethora of dignitaries from the Armed Forces, Manipur Police and State bureaucracy.
Maj Gen SS Kartikeya, YSM, SM, GOC Red Shield Div & Chairman LBA was the Reviewing Officer for the POP.
The General received the salute and reviewed the parade.
He also distributed prizes to the outstanding cadets in different categories.
Chairman LBA Gold Medal and cash prize of Rs 5000 for Overall Best Cadet was awarded to Cdt Adjutant RB Sholiavei; Best Cadet in Academics consisting of Silver Medal and cash prize of Rs 3,000 to School Captain Cdt Sinam Alex; Best Cadet in Sports consisting of Silver Medal and cash prize of Rs 3,000 to School Sports Captain Cdt Ningthoujam Lanthoi.
Tagore House bagged the Championship Trophy for Best House (Senior) in the Drill Competition 2025-26.Addressing the gathering, Maj Gen SS Kartikeya appreciated the cadets for their discipline, hard work and stellar performance.
He highlighted the crucial role Sainik School Imphal plays in shaping the nation's future leaders and lauded the staff and administration for their relentless dedication and concerted efforts.
He urged the cadets to uphold the values of integrity, courage and selfless service as they move forward in life and extended his appreciation to the parents for their continued faith and support.
The General also wished all outgoing cadets great success in their future endeavours.
Subsequently, the 83rd meeting of the Local Board of Administration (LBA) for the school was held focusing on ongoing developmental initiatives and future plans for enhancing the institution's infrastructure and training environment.
The meeting was presided by Maj Gen SS Kartikeya.
Also, Priya Kartikeya, Chairperson, Family Welfare Organisation of the Red Shield Division visited Sainik Foundation School (SFS) located inside the campus of Sainik School Imphal.
She released the first edition of the annual school magazine of SFS "Shirui Lily" and interacted with the staff and students.
