Imphal, March 14 2020:
Partners of the BJP-led coalition Government has expressed strong displeasure against BJP over nomination of its candidate for the State's Rajya Sabha election scheduled on March 26 without consulting them.
Naga People's Front (NPF) has categorically stated that the nomination papers filed by its candidate were not meant to be withdrawn.
National People's Party (NPP) has also denounced the alleged dictatorial style of BJP and asserted that BJP's nature of running its own show has rendered the coalition meaningless.

Notably, BJP's Leishemba Sanajaoba, INC's T Mangibabu and NPF's Honreikhui Kashung have already filed their nomination papers.
Scrutiny would be done at 11 am of March 16 at the Assembly Secretariat while the last date for withdrawal of nomination papers has been fixed on March 18 (till 3 pm).
Polling would be held on March 26 from 9 am to 4 pm.
The coalition Government has 21 BJP MLAs, four NPF MLAs, four NPP MLAs, one LJP MLA, one Trinamool Congress MLA and one independent MLA.
Out of the Congress party's 28 MLAs, eight MLAs including MAHUD Minister Th Shyamkumar have been supporting the BJP-led coalition Government.
If these MLAs are not taken into account, Congress party has only 20 MLAs.
With regard to the Rajya Sabha election, one key leader of NPF told The Sangai Express that the coalition Government was formed with the support of NPF.
He said that no coalition partners were consulted by BJP before it fielded its own candidate.
It is not right to allot BJP ticket to titular king Leishemba Sanajaoba in view of the growing voices of disapproval against the Merger Agreement.
Allotting BJP ticket to Leishemba Sanajaoba is akin to allotting him an office of profit.
People will lose faith in the king if he contests the election, said the NPF leader.
He said that the NPF did not field his candidate to withdraw at the last moment.
He further lamented that the Chief Minister has been unable to fulfil his own assurance to reshuffle the Council of Ministers Meanwhile, one prominent NPP leader decried that exposed its bossy nature by nominating its candidate for the Rajya Sabha election without bothering to consult the coalition partners.
Saying that BJP and NPF has one MP each in the Lok Sabha, the NPP leader maintained that it would be more justified to elect an NPP candidate to the Rajya Sabha.
One of the eight Congress MLAs including Th Shyamkumar who have been facing disqualification cases maintained that he would not like to comment on the Rajya Sabha election.
