Facility for testing Covid-19 is available at RIMS: Arunkumar

Announcing that tests for Covid-19 can now be done at RIMS, its Medical Superintendent Professor Ch Arunkumar has stressed on the need for the people to stay alert and adhere to the preventive measures initiated by the State Government as there is still no cure or vaccine to combat the virus.
Speaking at the releasing function of a documentary titled "Coronavirus Tagi Ngakthokminashi" at his office today, he said that Covid-19 has spread all around the globe including India and explained that as it is a new virus, there is not cure or vaccine to combat the virus and as such, prevention is the only hope.
"The State Government is taking up every possible measures to combat the virus and its spread.
RIMS now has four ventilators and 12 isolated wards just in case.
Strict measures have also been taken up at the district hospitals as well as areas like Jiribam, Mao gate and other entry points", he said.
Stating that all of the samples from the State have tested negative for the virus, he said that there is not a single confirmed case in Manipur and as such, people should not believe the rumours being circulated in social media sites.
The awareness based documentary is being produced under the banner of Ningomba Film Production.
It was conceptualised by Jeetendra Ningombam and produced by RIMS.
The documentary has messages from the Chief Minister, Governor, Health Minister, RIMS and JNIMS Directors and Medical Superintendents.
The documentary aims to spread awareness and preventive measures about Covid-19 to the people.
