Government warns against hiking price of masks, sanitisers

Imphal, March 14 2020:
Following the outbreak of Covid-19, the Directorate of Health Services has issued a notice instructing all licensed pharmacies, drug stores (both retail and wholesalers) to refrain from selling hygiene products like pollution masks and hand sanitizers at inflated prices.
The notice issued by the State Drugs Controller and Licensing Authority, Directorate of Health Services Manipur, cautioned that appropriate actions will be taken up that pharmacies or drug stores violating the pricing norms.
It also instructed all the stockiest of such items to maintain sufficient stock position to prevent acute shortages or stock.
