MLA inaugurates HRDO building

Major development projects are in the pipeline to make Wangoi Assembly Constituency in par with other Constituencies, said MIDA (Manipur Infrastructure Development Agency) Vice Chairman MLA Oinam Lukhoi.
Speaking at the inaugural function of a newly constructed building of the Human Resource Development Organisation (HRDO) at Sawombung Awang Leikai on Monday, O Lukhoi said the State Government is taking up works to widen the Mayai Lambi road.
He also assured that project to construct Samurou bazar will be taken up after completion of the road construction/widening works.
Further informing that the dredging works on west bank of Imphal river between Samurou and Mutum Phibou area have been completed, the MLA said installation of bore piles at identified river bank areas has started under the CRF (Central Relief Fund).
The HRDO building was constructed under the MLA Local Area Development Fund, he said stating that five youth clubs' buildings have been constructed so far in the Constituency.
He also encouraged youth clubs and localities to organise sports events to keep youths engaged in healthy habits.
HRDO president Sapam Kanhai, Samurou Municipal Council Chairperson L Nonibala Devi and Councillors Naorem Proyolata, Hidam Hemabati, Md Anish Khan, H Ibemcha and Soram Kirankumar attended the inaugural function as presidium members.
