Minor girl rescued

One minor girl has been rescued by a team of Porompat police station while she was trying to board an Imphal-Delhi Indigo flight with a 23 years old youth at Tulihal International Airport this morning.
The minor girl from Moreh is presently staying in a relief camp.
The elder sister of the minor girl lodged a missing complaint with Porompat police station as she did not return after she went out from the relief camp at 1.30 pm yesterday.
Acting on specific information that the minor girl was present inside Tulihal International Airport along with a 23 year old man identified as Yengkhom Gyandash Mangang of Pallel Mayai Leikai and they were planning to board a Delhi-bound Indigo flight, a team of Porompat police station rushed to the airport and rescued the minor girl.
The police team also arrested Yengkhom Gyandash by observing necessary formalities and he was later handed over to Women Police Station, Imphal East.
A case has been registered against him under the POCSO Act, said the sources.
