A hand grenade was found at the residence of UCM President, Yumnamcha Dilipkumar at Keinou Thongthak of Bishnupur district today.
Speaking to reporters at his residence, Yumnamcha Dilipkumar said that the Chinese hand grenade was found by one of his family members while cleaning their lawn at around 5.30 am.
The family member also found a detonator near the doorstep, Dilipkumar said and added that a chit wherein 'last warning, KCPMC (L Khuman) District Commandant Nongdrenkhomba Meitei with two mobile numbers' was written was also found.
Yumnamcha Dilipkumar informed the reporters that the bomb was taken away by a police team led by Bishnupur O/C and exploded at Khwairakpam area.

Saying that every misunderstanding can be settled through talks and negotiation, Dilipkumar urged the concerned to clarify on the incident as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, Keinou Thong Women Development Association (KTWDA) staged a sit-in-protest against the incident at Keinou Bazar.
KTWDA President while speaking to reporters said that Yumnamcha Dilipkumar takes active participation in the effort to bring peace in the State.
Asking why the bomb has been planted at the residence of a CSO leader, the President also urged the concerned to clarify on the incident at the earliest.
UCM condemns: United Committee Manipur (UCM) has condemned planting of hand grenade at the residence of its President Yumnamcha Dilipkumar.
A press release issued by its Secretary IPR, Kh Nilamani Kha-Nganba quoted Dilipkumar that a huge monetary demand was served to the school where Dilipkumar is serving as a teacher around one year back.
However, school staff unanimously decided not to give the said amount to the concerned group, said the press release quoting Dilip-kumar.
UCM expressed apprehension that the concerned group is not happy with the activities of of UCM as no missive has been sent this long time as if everything has been settled regarding the monetary demand.
Every mis-understanding can be resolved through talks, it added.
