Oinam Jugindro, a grade-IV employee of Thoubal district social welfare office hailing from Leimapokpam Awang Leikai, kidnapped by suspected KCP (MTF) activists was released unharmed today after three days stay in the captivity of kidnappers.
He was released at a place at Ishok Shantipur under Nambol police station at about 8.30 tonight unharmed, a report said.
Jugindro was kidnapped by suspected KCP (MTF) activists from his house around 9.45 pm of September 20 .
Describing the ordeal experience in the captivity of the kidnappers, Jugindro was reported as saying that he was kept blindfolded even though no harassment was meted out to him.
He was taken into captivity by the group on the demand of reservation of three each seats in the appointment of supervisor and LDC in the social welfare department and Rs 50 lakh as party fund, a highly reliable source said but whether the department fulfilled the demands before he secure released could not be confirmed from the source.
