Students' Wing condemns

Imphal, August 17 2015: The JCILPS Students' Wing has condemned the activities of DESAM which are allegedly aimed at derailing and projecting the ongoing mass movement for protection of indigenous people in wrong light.

Speaking to media persons at AMSU office here today, JCILPS Students' Wing convenor Nandababu Oinam said that Baleshwar Singh Philem, a key functionary of DESAM posted several write-ups on different social networking sites which not only undermined but also projected the ongoing mass movement in the wrong light.

Student bodies of the State have been working together on many major issues of the State.

But this time, DESAM was working consistently to malign the image of JCILPS and Students' Wing functionaries.

All these activities of DESAM were abominable and they were instigated by anti-social elements, Nandababu alleged.

The Students' Wing gave sufficient time to DESAM to bring an understanding on the wrongdoings committed by their functionaries but DESAM maintained that they could not bring the particular functionaries.

Later, volunteers of the Students' Wing and two members of DESAM searched for Baleshwar but he could not be found.

The Students' Wing never assaulted the two DESAM members and all the allegations raised by DESAM were baseless.

Maintaining that the recent activities of DESAM are against the common interest of the masses, one spokesperson of the Students' Wing appealed to all the people not trust or support DESAM.
