Herbert School celebrates 26th Foundation Day with great enthusiasm

Herbert School proudly celebrated its 26th Foundation Day on Friday with great enthusiasm and reverence, marking over two & half decades of academic excellence, holistic development and community service.
The grand celebration held at the premises of the school in Changangei was graced by distinguished guests, special invitees, staff, students and parents who came together to commemorate the school's journey of growth and achievement Founded In 1999, Herbert School has consistently strived to.
nurture young minds to become responsible, innovative and compassionate citizens.
Dr Thokchom Radheshyam Singh, MLA Heirok AC; Prof N Rajmuhon Singh, ex-Vice Chancellor, Dhanamanjuri University; and Dr K Nabachandra Singh, Principal, Herbert School have graced the function as the chief guest guest of honour & president respectively.
The celebration began with the lighting of ceremonial candles, followed by the School anthem and welcome speech.
It was followed by the Principal's report which highlighted the school's remarkable development and achievements in the past one year.
In his address, Dr Thokchom Radheshyam commended the school for its unwavering commitment to academic excellence and character building.
He praised the school anthem, especially the literal meaning of the lyrics and narrated three motivational stories of Albert Einstein, API Abdul Kalam and UPSC Topper 2024 Shakti Dubey.
The MLA also advised the students to make friends with good books and urged the parents to give freedom to their wards to decide their future career.
Prof N Rajmuhon emphasized on the importance of education in shaping a bright future and praised the school management for the remarkable progress it has made since its inception.
He narrated the story of CV Raman, the Nobel laureate who discovered Raman Effect and motivated the students to work hard with perseverance to achieve their goals.
He re-emphasized that simplicity, patience and hard work are the three essential qualities every student should have.
As part of the event, special awards and honours were presented to 15 rank holders of Higher Secondary Examination (HSE) 2025,18 subject toppers of HSE 2025, 21 Herbertian freshers who cleared NEET (UG) 2025 and got selected for MBBS studies in 2025, 7 Herbertian freshers who cracked JEE Advanced 2025, and 4 teachers for producing subject toppers in their subjects.
Cultural performances by students added colour and vibrancy to the occasion, showcasing their talents in music, dance and song.
The celebration concluded with the vote of thanks to all participants and guests, reaffirming the spirit of unity and progress that defines Herbert School.
The Foundation Day served as a reminder of the school's rich heritage and its relentless pursuit of academic excellence.
