MLA Muivah condoles Ukhrul road mishap deaths

Ukhrul, March 10 2025: Ukhrul MLA Ram Muivah has condoled the death of five young men and women in a road accident that occurred between Poi and Awangkasom villages en-route to Longbi village in Ukhrul district on March 8 .

"I am deeply saddened to learn the shocking news of a tragic vehicle accident which resulted in cutting short the lives of five young men and women at the prime of their youth," the MLA said in a statement on Monday, conveying his deepest condolences to the bereaved families.

He stated that the tragic accident owing partly to the terrible road condition in this part of the world once again is an urgent reminder to improve the connectivity in the hills in particular and Manipur state in general before even more lives are lost.

The MLA also wished for speedy recovery of the others who sustained injuries in the accident.
