A release by MMWO president Boboi Korimayum said that the state government should ensure that the natural disaster relief funds reach the victims of the recent hailstorm which wreaked havoc across the state.
It also appealed to the authorities not to indulge in any political agenda or favouritism during the distribution of the funds.
The fund allocations should be done according to the survey reports of the respective DCs and SDOs, it continued.
It pointed out that the disaster has rendered many people homeless and helpless, as the roofing materials have become scarce.
Alleging the authorities of mishandling the funds intended for natural disasters victims in the past, it claimed that state government is yet to release the natural disaster aid which totalled to Rs 24 crore for the victims of drought in 2019 .
