Identification, assessment camp held in Jiribam

Jiribam, August 08 2025:
In connection with the week-long identification, assessment, and assistive device distribution programme, distribution of aids and appliances to Children with Special Needs (CWSN) was held on Friday at the ICD campus in Lakhipur, here.
The camp is being jointly organised by Rash-triya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK), district Health Department, ALIMCO and Achievement of Raising Maiden.
During the event, assistive devices were distributed to physically challenged students from primary level up to Class XII .
Speaking on the occasion, Jiribam ZEO Thoudam Amurashi Chanu informed that the identification programme, launched in Jiribam, is also being conducted in various other districts of the state since July 29 .
A total of 95 children are being screened under the initiative in the district, she said.
The camp being held in commemoration of five years of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 is expected to enable several children with special needs access necessary aids and appliances, the ZEO added.
