Appoint tribal officers in TA&H: FATYC

Imphal, August 08 2025: Federation of Tribal Youth Clubs (FATYC), Manipur has drawn the attention of the President 's Rule administration to appoint more tribal IAS officers in the top posts of the state Tribal Affairs and Hills (TA&H) Directorate.

In a press meet held at Manipur Press Club here Friday, FATYC spokesperson Chipemlei requested for removing PCCF Anuraj Bajpai from the charge of top post in TA&H .

She continued that a tribal officer would be more suitable to head the Directorate, the requests for which have been made numerous times to the Governor in writing.

Chipemlei said that with a tribal officer heading the Directorate, it would be of more assistance to the development works for the tribal populace.

However, the tribal students and people are facing a lot of inconvenience due to PCCF being the head of TA&H.Thus, she appealed to the PR government to appoint a tribal officer for the Directorate at the earliest.
