WRITPLAT celebrates 2nd foundation day

Imphal, February 21 2025:
Writers' Platform Manipur (WRIT-PLAT) celebrated its second foundation day at Loktak Hall of Manipur Press Club here on Friday.
As part of the celebration, Keisham Keshwarjit's English poetry, anthology, "If I were"; Dr RK Nayansana's poetry anthology (second edition), "Hey Mei Ishing Nungsit"; and Dr Kangabam Ingaremba's poetry anthology, "Imana Kourakle", were released.
In his speech, WRITPLAT general secretary Dr Kangabam Ingaremba informed that donors of cash award for this year have increased from five to ten.
Amongst the ten awardees, there are also recipients from Hojai, Assam, he added, while appealing to writers to attend the awards function.
The celebration was attended by WRITPLAT chief patron and MSSWB former chairperson Dr RK Nayansana, president Yumnam Kumar, Bamon Kampu ZP member Heirom Dhamendra, retired District & Sessions Judge and WRITPLAT legal advisor Aribam Nouteneshwori Devi, lyricists and social worker Dr Thingbaijam Sarwankumar, MU Manipuri Department assistant professor Dr N Sanatomba Singh and WRITPLAT patron Dr Okram Jbudou alias Leishemba as presidium members.
MU assistant professor Dr N Sanatomba Singh spoke on the topic "International Mother Language Day: Present Status and identity
of Meeteilon" .
