Kakching, February 21 2023: Samagra Shiksha (Elementary) Manipur and Zonal Education Office, Chandel organised a district level ori entation training programme on safety and security at the multipurpose hall of Mini Secretariat complex, Chandel on Tuesday.

The inaugural function of the training programme was attended by ZEO, Chandel Yumnam Hemchandra as presidium member.

In the morning session, Manipur State Disaster Response Force members Th Hemanta, Maibam Neelani and Bidyarani Yumnam spoke about precautionary measures to be taken during earthquake and fire accidents among others.

The methods of applying tourniquet, first aid, bandage and ways to save a drowning person were also demonstrated.

In the evening session, Indian Red Cross Society, Imphal West general secretary Dr Thokchom Bankimchandra spoke as resource person.
