Free eye check-up camp held at DIPR

Imphal, August 08 2025: A one-day free comprehensive eye check-up camp was held Friday at the auditorium hall of the Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) head office at Nityaipat Chuthek, here.

The camp Was jointly organised by DIPR and Medilane Head Office, Porompat, Imphal East, with the aim of promoting healthy vision, preventing eye-related diseases, and providing timely treatment for existing conditions.

A team of nine experienced professionals from Medilane Eye Care, including two officers, four opticians, two optometrists, and one ophthalmic assistant, conducted free eye check-ups and offered expert consultations to attendees.

In addition, participants received a 50 per cent discount on the purchase of lenses and frames.

Those requiring further treatment at hospitals will be eligible for special benefits under the Chief Minister-gi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT) scheme upon presentation of their CMHT cards.

The camp witnessed an encouraging turnout, with around 70 participants, comprising DIPR staff, media persons, journalists, and their family members, taking advantage of the services.

The initiative was widely appreciated for bringing quality eye care directly to the community and raising awareness of the importance of regular eye health check-ups.
