AR, army organise 'Day with Coy Commander'

Assam Rifles organised 'A Day with Company Commander' programme at the Company Operating Base, Thoubal on Wednesday.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that the event saw the participation of around 100 students, their parents and teachers creating a platform for valuable interaction and learning.
The event kicked off with a lecture by the company commander detailing procedures to join the defence forces.
The highlight of the day was felicitation of students who excelled in the 2nd State-Level General Knowledge Quiz, organised by Career Foundation, Thoubal.
The programme also featured a weapon display, providing students and their parents a first-hand experience on the equipment used by the AR, which served as an excellent opportunity for attendees to learn more about the defence forces' capabilities and the rple they play in safeguarding the nation, according to the PRO.
Indian Army also organised 'A Day with Company Commander' under the theme "Shaping the Future of Our Nation" for the students of Phoenix Institute School and Ma Foundation School at S Kawtlian in Churachandpur district.
Participated by around 150 students of various grades, the event had series of activities to inculcate teamwork, creativity and sense of unify among the students, as well as a volleyball match and other fun-filled sporting activities to foster camaraderie and healthy competition.
Students also had the opportunity to interact with the company commander and troops, who shared insights into the Army's role in nation-building, thus inspiring the students to contribute towards the nation's progress.
