Imphal, August 08 2025: NIT, Manipur under the aegis of Ministry of Education organised a two-day Capacity Building for Design & Entrepreneurship (CBDE) pedagogy workshop at Hotel Imphal.

The inaugural programme on Thursday was attended by NIT director DVLN So-mayajulu; MMTTC, IIIT-D&M, Kancheepuram programme director Dr Sudhir Varadarajan; NIT registrar Prof Kh Tomba Singh; and IIITDM Manipur director Prof Krishnan Bhaskar as presidium members.

Speaking at the programme, NIT Manipur CBDE Committee programme convenor Dr Ngangbam Romenjit highlighted the significance of NIT Manipur selected as the 45th institute by the Ministry of Education to host the workshop under the Malvi-ya Mission Teacher Training Programme, a key initiative of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.The workshop, held with six resource persons and participation of 14 NIT teachers and 30 students, aims to empower and aid the youth realise the goal of self-employment, he informed, adding that similar workshops will be conducted every month for five years.
