Two KCP/URF cadres arrested

Imphal, March 12 2023: Teams of Bishnupur police commando unit arrested two KCP/URF cadres, identified as Laishram Tiken Singh (40), son of L Iboyaima Singh of Ithai Wapokpi Mayai Leikai, Bishunupur district but staying in a rented house at Langthabal Mantrikhong Awang Leikai, Imphal West district and Oinam Somenchandra Singh alias Moirangjao alias Karangjao (38), son of O Rajen Singh of Karang Mamang Leikai, Bishnupur district on February 9 .

According to police report, the Bishnupur commando team led by its OC subedar Y Shaktishen Singh raided Tiken's place around 11:30 pm and recovered one country-made lathode gun with shells hidden on the roof of an iron cupboard in his room.

Tiken reportedly disclosed that he is an active cadre of KCP/URF working under Moirangjao alias Karangjao of KCP/URF.

He has been handed over along with the seized items to Singjamei police station for further legal action.

In the follow up action, another Bishnupur commando team led by HC K Bidyashwor Singh arrested O Somenchandra Singh alias Moirangjao alias Karangjao from Khumanpokpa playground, Karang around 1.10 pm and handed him over to Keibul Lamjao police station for further action.
