Sensitisation prog on POCSO Act and JJ Act held

Kakching, May 11 2024: Under the auspices of Social Welfare Department, Manipur government; Morning Star Organisation (MSO), Nongmeibung, Imphal East on Saturday organised a Sensitisation Programme on Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act 2012 and Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act 2015 at the auditorium of Representatives of Lois (RoL), Kakching at Kakching Chumnang Leikai.

The event was attended by Anganwadi workers, helpers, ASHA workers and students.

During the event, MSO secretary Sagolsem Rosul highlighted the main objectives of the sensitisation programme, while Social Welfare Department SCPS-MV programme officer Sandhyarani Mangshatabam spoke about the POCSO Act and Child Welfare Committee (CWC) Kakching chairperson Naorem Kumari Devi talked on Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act as resource persons.
