Question leak accused trio sent to jail

Imphal, March 10 2025:
All the three persons arrested in connection with the leakage of Physics question paper for class XII examination conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) case have been sent to IS days judicial custody.
The three were arrested on March 5 in connection with a case pursued by Cybercrime police station.
The arrested persons are supervisory officer (SO) of Paradise English school, Thoubal exam centre Khangenbam Arundas, 60 son of late Birchandra of Thoubal Kshetri Leikai, school's biology teacher Laishram Prabin, 31, son of Jadumani of Yairipok Tulihal and officer-in-charge of the exam centre Sapam Shivdutta, 35 son of Manibabu of Khongjom bazar.
After lapse of remand period sought from relevant court, all three persons were produced before the court of CJM Imphal West by Cybercrime police station on Monday with the prayer for judicial remand.
After hearing report of the IO of the case, the court granted judicial remand and sent Arundas, Prabin and Shivdutta to judicial custody for 15 days.
Notably, physics teacher of Paradise English School Maibam Sunil and Ningombam Jagdish were arrested first by Cybercrime PS in connection with the case.
After expiry of initial police custody remand, both were sent to judicial custody by relevant court.
