Anganwadi workers trained under Roshan Bhi Padhai Bhi

To ensure that every child receives the best possible care, education and nutrition under the Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi programme, the district administration, in collaboration with Integrated Child Development Services Cell, Kakching, organised a three-day training programme for Anganwadi workers at the Library and Information Centre, here.
The training programme, which began on August 6 for the first batch consisting of 100 Anganwadi workers, concluded on Friday.
Altogether, 362 Anganwadi workers will be trained in four batches for effective delivery of the initiatives.
The second batch of training for 100 workers will be held from August 18 to 20, the third batch for another 100 workers from August 25 to 27, and the final batch of 62 workers from August 28 to 30 .

During the training programme, participants are taught about the importance of nutrition and the vital role of training in enhancing the delivery of POshan services.
They were encouraged to approach the training with dedication and enthusiasm to contribute effectively to the health and well-being of children and women in the area.
The training focuses on aspects such as Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), proper distribution of supplementary nutrition, and addressing issues such as Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM), Moderate Acute Malnutrition (MAM), and anaemia among beneficiaries.
Anganwadi workers are trained to provide holistic care to children while ensuring their nutritional needs are met through the initiatives of the Poshan project.
Training is also given on two curriculum frameworks, namely Aadharsh-ila - ECCE for children aged three to six years, and Navchetana - ECCE for children from birth to three years, to empower workers and ensure optimal learning for all children, with special focus on Divyang (differently-abled) children in every activity.
The training programme was conducted by Child Development Project Officer, ICDS Project (Kakching) Ningthoujam Parango Singh.
Eighteen supervisors imparted training to the workers, supported by inspectors and other staff for the successful conduct of the programme.
