AR commemorates National Science Day

In a concerted effort to foster scientific curiosity and education among the youth, Assam Rifles organised series of events in celebration of National Science Day on Friday spanning multiple districts, engaging students, educators and community members in a collective pursuit of knowledge and innovation.
According to PRO IGAR (S), in Sehlon region under Chandel district, Assam Rifles conducted an array of activities at New Samtal, Kovang, Phoilen, Aibol Joupi, Old Samtal and Sehlon villages.
The programmes included debate competitions, awareness lectures, poster campaigns and rallies with the participation of 183 individuals, reflecting the community's commitment to educational advancement.
In Thoubal district, a dedicated National Science Day event brought together 25 local students and 33 Assam Rifles personnel.
The day's agenda featured informative lectures, a quiz competition and interactive discussions emphasising the practical applications of science in everyday life, the PRO conveyed.
The PRO further informed that at UJB School, Manamjang village in Kangpokpi district, Assam Rifles organised a session focusing on scientific aptitude and career opportunities in science-related fields.
The Company commander interacted with 32 students and teachers, highlighting the importance of innovation and scientific thinking in national development.
At Veng village in Churachandpur district, recognising the significance of National Science Day, Assam Rifles hosted an event for local students attending SSC (GD) pre-coaching classes.
The programme commenced with an engaging lecture on fundamental scientific concepts and the historical importance of Sir CV Raman s discovery of the Raman Effect, the PRO conveyed.
