Ration money hike for State police approved

Imphal, August 21 2025:
The Governor-in-Council has approved a long-standing proposal for enhancement of ration money for the security personnel of the Manipur Police Department.
The ration money hike will go into effect from September 1, 2025 whereby the allowance will be raised from Rs 2000 to Rs 2500 per head per month for the security personnel of Manipur Rifles, India Reserved Battalion, Civil Police, Manipur Police Telecommunication Organisation, Central Motor Transport Workshop and Village Defence Force of the Manipur Police Department.
According to a press release issued by the Director General of Police, the approval marks a significant welfare measure and will serve as a major boost to the morale and motivation of Manipur Police personnel across all entitled ranks, who, with dedication and sacrifice, carried out their duties during the turbulent law and order situation over the past two years and three months in the entire State.
The Manipur Police Department has conveyed its deep appreciation and sincere gratitude to the State Government for this welfare initiative in recognition of the sacrifices and services rendered by its personnel.
