Bhalla chairs review meet

Imphal, February 21 2025: Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla chaired a review meeting with Chief Secretary PK Singh, Commissioner (Home) N Ashok Kumar; Secretary (Health) Sumant Singh, Commissioner, Education (S) Gyan Prakash, Mercina R Panmei, Joint Secretary and other senior officers at the conference hall of Secretariat (South Block) here today.

The Governor reviewed the overall budgetary allocations of various departments and rehabilitation of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) residing in various relief camps in the State.

He also enquired about the arrangements for imparting skill development trainings and feasibility of employment opportunities in private sectors for the IDPs.

Ajay Kumar Bhalla directed the officers to take up steps for implementation of Hunar Se Rojgar � a Government of India initiative under the Ministry of Tourism, for the youths in the State, especially IDPs, conveyed a press release issued by the Governor's Secretariat.

On the other hand, Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, Director General, Assam Rifles called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan, today.

The Director General briefed the Governor on the operational and deployment activities of Assam Rifles in the region.
