Interaction programme for weavers organised

Imphal, May 11 2024: Manipur Handloom and Handicrafts Development Corporation (MHHDC) organised an interaction programme for weavers of Heingang at Pinash Work shed in Heingang Awang Leikai on Saturday.

In all, 40 weavers participated in the programme which was attended by Handloom and Textiles deputy director Th Basanta Singh, DHTTO Imphal East project manager Y Ashalata Devi, MHHDC PME manager Th Ravi, PEO Y Madona and Heingang CDP CDE Ch Olivia.

During the programme, discussions were held on product identification of the clothes made by the weavers, design development and mobilisation, apart from the inconveniences faced by weavers, lack of marketing facilities and the benefits provided by the Corporation.
