Lecture on armed forces, women's empowerment held

Imphal, July 14 2024: Assam Rifles organised a motivational lecture and group discussion for aspirants of SSB, NDA and Indian Armed Forces on Saturday in Churachandpur district to motivate the youth strive for becoming officers in the armed forces through th e upcoming National Defence Academy exam in September 2024, as well as other Armed Forces entry schemes.

According to PRO IGAR (S), youngsters from remote areas of the district and belonging to humble backgrounds have been affected by the ongoing conflict in Manipur.

Ihe programme included a lecture on the working environment of Armed Forces, its challenges, rewarding and adventurous lifestyle it offers, said the PRO in a release, adding that a question-and-answer session was also conducted to resolve the curious questions of aspirants followed by an interactive group discussion on their preparation for the upcoming NDA exams.

Assam Rifles also conducted a lecture on women's empowerment at Gangluan village in Noney district on Saturday to educate people about gender equality, confidence-building measures, self-esteem, women's legal rights and entitlements.

The lecture was attended by 25 women and 19 village elders, said the PRO in another release, adding that the villagers thanked the Assam Rifles for organising such an event to help women gain confidence.
