CM urged to hand over Nonganba case to CBI

Imphal, March 12 2023: The JAC formed in connection with the murder of Akoijam Nonganba alias Aging along with family members and leaders of different Meira Paibi organisations called on chief minister N Biren on Saturday and submitted a memorandum demanding arrest of all culprits involved in the murder.

In the memorandum, the JAC demanded the government to arrest all the culprits involved in the murder case by March 15, deny bail to the two arrested suspects, declare Stephen Dangmei as proclaimed absconder with cash reward, and transfer the case to NIA or CBI.

Interacting with media persons at the gate of CM's bungalow, Nonganba's mother Akoijam Santibala said that she personally urged the CM to transfer the case to NIA to which the CM told her that police investigation is going and assured of transferring the case to NIA if the situation demands.
