Driver, handyman injured in LPG cylinder truck accident

CCpur, May 11 2024: Driver and handyman of an LPG gas cylinder truck got injured as the truck bearing registration number AS11DC 8314 met with an accident in the early morning hours on Saturday in Suangdoh village areas along the Guite road in Churachandpur district.

The accident occurred near the culvert of Talpi River, where the road takes a sharp turn, causing the LPG cylinder truck to overturn and spill its fully loaded cargo.

Some cylinders rolled down to the river.

At the time of the accident, the truck was occupied only by the driver and the handyman.

Upon receiving news of the incident, volunteers from the ZYA Suangdoh unit rushed to the scene, providing first aid treatment to the driver and handyman before transporting them to CHC Singhat for further medical attention.

The LPG cylinders, destined for Sialngen-thang and Sons (SAS Gas Agency) in Churachandpur, were promptly transported by the owner of SAS Gas agency via another truck.
