Eid-ul-Fitr celebrated, 'Mehrab' inaugurated

Thoubal, April 01 2025: As in other parts of the world, Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated by Muslim community after observing the fasting month of Ramadan on Monday.

The community after holding 'Namaz' (prayers) at their respective 'idgah' also prayed at the tombs of the ancestors and shared festive meals with friends and families.

Meanwhile, Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president and Wangkhem MLA Keisham Meghachandra Singh attended the Eid prayers at the Yairipok Singa Idgah.

During the programme, MLA Meghachandra inaugurated the 'Mehrab' at Singa Idgah Hill, whose construction was funded by him.

Speaking at the event, which was organised by Idgah Committee and Singa Ideal Club, the MLA extended greetings on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr and wished for communal harmony and peace between the various communities of Manipur.
