AR organises security meeting

Imphal, May 19 2024: Assam Rifles organised a security meeting with village headmen and authorities from villages around Keithelmanbi, Imphal West district on Saturday.

According to PRO IGAR (S), the security meeting witnessed participation of Haibung, Sinam Khaitong, New Keithelmanbi, Khoken, Mongbung, Haijang, Khoripok, Laibol Khongnem, Sadar Joute, Lower Pholjang and L Janglenphai villages.

The meeting provided forum for all concerned to put forth their grievances and issues faced by them.

The importance of involving youth in sports, education, and other constructive initiatives was thoroughly discussed during the meeting.

The attendees were also briefed on the current security landscape in the area and were encouraged to work towards fostering peace, stability and prosperity in the region, the PRO said in a release.
