SFs conduct flag march, net three UGs

Imphal, March 10 2025:
As part of heightened security measures security forces conducted flag march for area domination on Monday.
According to a police report, a joint team of Bishnupur district police, 8 Bn CRPF, 5th Sikh Regiment and RAF carried out a flag march from 4.15 pm covering areas under Ningthoukhong Bazar to Ningthoukhong ward number 4, 6, 7 and 10 .
On the other hand, Manipur police arrested an active member of a banned outfit from Samurou on Sunday.
The arrested member has been identified as Shandham Romen Singh (39).Police recovered 11 demand letters from his possession, the report conveyed.
Another report informed that a combined team of Bishnupur CDO, A-170 BSF, 2 Mahar Regiment and Kumbi PS conducted a search operation at Wangoo Sabal leikai on Monday.
During the operation, the team arrested two proscribed KYKL cadres, who were involved in extortion activities.
The duo has been identified as Pukhrambam Bimol Singh alias Inaobi (39) s/o P Koijamba Singh of Wangoo Sabal Mayai Leikai, and Athokpam Surchandra Singh alias Khaba alias Rabichandra (42) s/o A Ibotombi Singh of Wangoo Sabal Makha Leikai.
Hie team also seized two mobile phones along with one Aadhaar card each from their possession.
The arrested persons along with the seized items have been handed over to Kumbi PS for further action, the report added.
