National seminar marks Manipuri Language Day

Thoubal, August 21 2025: A national seminar on the topic "Manipuri Lon, Culture amadi Khorilolda Kupsinba Mityeng" in connection with the 34th Manipuri Language Day was jointly organised by YK College, Wangjing Manipuri Department and IQAC at the mini conference hall of the college on Thursday.

The seminar held along with release of the college magazine (2024-25), was attended by College principal professor Kh Jugindro, Physics Department head O Binoykumar, English Department head associate professor Somarendra and History Department head associate professor Dr H Nil kant as presidium members.

During the seminar which was held in two sessions, Manipur University assistant professor Dr L Anand, Assam University research scholar N Shilshila Devi, YK College assistant professor P Baleswor, Assam University research scholar Th Somokanta Luwang, YK College assistant professor N Leenthoibi Chanu and DM University assistant professor Dr Sh G hanashyam presented papers on the topic "Lol Amagi Education da Post-Colonial gi Mityeng, Anganba Manipuri Seireng gi khuee amasung khutfongdok Neinaba, Post Colonialism da Manipuri Sahitya gi Wareng gi Masak, Meiteilon Hourakpa amadi Houjikki thak, Manipuri Lol da Morphology, Historical Linguistic ki Mityeng dagi Manipuri Sahitya gi Lol Neinaba amadi Manipur Culture da Lamyankhiba Meitei Nupising" .
