AMBA to observe World Bee Day 2024

All Manipur Beekeepers' Association (AMBA) has invited farmers and beekeeping enthusiasts to attend World Bee Day 2024 at 2 pm on Monday at its office in Khundrakpam Awang Leikai Mamang Ching, Imphal East.
In a release, AMBA secretary Dr Atom Sunil Singh informed that the World Bee Day, designated by the United Nations, serves as an international platform to raise awareness about the importance of bees and other pollinators for biodiversity, food security and sustainable development.
"As we confront global challenges such as climate change, habitat loss, and biodiversity decline, recognising the critical role of bees in maintaining ecological balance has never been more urgent," he said.
AMBA continued that the event will share their expertise and insights on the significance of bees in agriculture, ecology and rural livelihoods.
Attendees can expect a series of enlightening presentations, discussions and networking opportunities, aimed at fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among beekeeping enthusiasts, farmers, researchers and policy-makers, it further informed.
