Bishnupur, July 14 2024: As part of the 75th Van Mahotsav observance, Bishnupur Forest Division in collaboration with Senjenpokpi United Welfare Club, Irengbam conducted a tree plantation drive at Irengbam Awang Maning Leikai on Sunday.

During the drive, Oinam MLA Irengbam Nalini, Bishnupur Forest Division RO Nilamani and staff, Irengbam Gram Panchayat ex-pradhan I Gopen, Welfare Club members and 33 Assam Rifles COB, Irengbam officer, among other planted fruit bearing and leafy tree saplings.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA I Nalini appealed all to take responsibility for protecting the environment and forest as they are necessary for life to flourish.

She also asked the Sanjenpokpi United Welfare Club members to ensure growth of the saplings planted.
