ITI trainees seal job in Bengaluru firm

Imphal, April 06 2025:
Directorate of Craftsmen Training organised a see-off event at Tulihal Airport, here on Sunday for the first batch of ITI trainees selected for placement at GE Healthcare, Bengaluru.
A total of 17 trainees, out of 49 who were offered placement during a recent campus recruitment drive, have departed to begin their professional journey with the global medical technology firm.
According to a press release issued by the directorate, the event was attended by joint director (training) Yaiphaba Longjam, who highlighted that such placements with reputed companies outside the state not only secure the future of skilled ITI graduates but also motivate other unemployed youth to take up technical training.
He also expressed gratitude to GE Healthcare for providing free air travel to the selected candidates from Imphal to Kolkata.
The function, arranged by the training and placement cell of the directorate, aims to encourage and extend best wishes to the outgoing trainees.
The successful placement marks a positive step forward in the state's efforts to enhance employment through industry-aligned skill development, the press release added.
